What data we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it through our website forms, or automatically through analytics cookies if you consent.

Quote request form — we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, project type, budget range, and project description. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry and provide a quote. The legal basis is legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you initiated).

Partner application form — we collect your name, email address, a description of how you plan to promote us, and optionally your website or social media profile. This is used to assess and respond to your partner application. The legal basis is legitimate interests.

Google Analytics — if you accept cookies, we collect anonymised data about how you use our website (pages visited, time on site, device type, approximate location). This is used to understand how our site is performing and improve it. The legal basis is consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or clicking "Decline" in the cookie banner.

How we store and process your data

Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms (web3forms.com), a third-party form processing service, and delivered to our email inbox. Web3Forms processes data on servers in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not store form submissions in any database beyond our email account.

Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4). IP anonymisation is enabled. Data is stored on Google's servers in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

Email enquiries and form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as is necessary to manage the business relationship, and deleted when no longer needed — typically within 2 years if no project proceeds.

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted.

Cookies

We use one category of cookie:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — used to measure website traffic and behaviour. These are only set after you give your consent via the cookie banner. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time.

We do not use advertising, targeting, or social media cookies.

Your rights under GDPR

As a person whose data we hold, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request that inaccurate data be corrected
  • Erasure — request that your data be deleted ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at mat.catalyststudios@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.

Right to complain

If you believe we have handled your personal data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC):
